As early as the 1970s, filter cartridge dust collector appeared in Japan, Europe and America. It has many advantages, such as small size, high efficiency, low investment and easy maintenance. However, because of its small capacity, it is difficult to assemble into large air volume equipment, low filtration wind speed and narrow application scope, it has not been widely used in grain, welding and other industries for many years. In recent years, with the continuous development of new technologies and new materials, the structure and filter materials of the dust collector have been improved by taking Japanese and American companies as representatives, making the filter barrel dust collector widely used in cement, iron and steel, power, food, metallurgy, chemical industry and other industrial fields. Its overall capacity has increased several times, and it has become a large-scale dust collector (GB6719-86 type) with filter area > 2000 m2. The traditional dust collector has many advantages, such as difficult collection of ultrafine dust, high filtering wind speed, poor cleaning effect, easy wear and tear of filter bag, high running cost, etc. Compared with the existing bag-type and electrostatic precipitator in the market, it has the characteristics of large effective filtering area, low pressure difference, low emission, small volume and long service life. It has become a new direction of industrial dust collector development.
After the dust-containing gas enters the dust hopper of the dust collector, due to the sudden expansion of the airflow section and the action of the airflow distribution plate, some coarse particles in the airflow settle in the dust hopper under the action of dynamic and inertial forces; after the fine-grained and small-density dust particles enter the dust chamber, they deposit on the surface of the filter material through the combined effects of Brownian diffusion and sieve filtration, and the purified gas enters the clean air chamber from the exhaust pipe. It is discharged by fan.
The resistance of the filter barrel type dust collector increases with the increase of the dust layer thickness on the surface of the filter material. Cleaning is carried out when resistance reaches a specified value. At this time, the PLC program controls the opening and closing of the pulse valve. Firstly, the lifting valve of one chamber closes and cuts off the filter air flow. Then the electromagnetic pulse valve opens, compressed air and in a short time expands rapidly in the upper chamber, and flows into the filter cartridge, which causes the expansion deformation of the filter cartridge to produce vibration. Under the action of the reverse flow scouring, the dust attached to the outside surface of the filter cartridge is peeled off and falls into the ash hopper. After cleaning, the solenoid pulse valve closes and the lifting valve opens, and the chamber resumes its filtering state. Cleaning chambers are carried out sequentially, from the first chamber to the next one, which is a cycle of cleaning. The fallen dust falls into the ash hopper and is discharged through the dust removing valve.
In this process, the filter cartridge must be regularly replaced and cleaned to ensure the filtering effect and accuracy, because in addition to being blocked, some dust will deposit on the surface of the filter material, increasing resistance, so the normal correct replacement time is three to five months.
The filter drum dust collector is especially suitable for the following occasions: calcium carbide furnace dust removal, various electric furnaces dust removal in ferroalloy plants; flue gas purification in iron and steel plants; coal-fired boilers and small boilers dust removal in power plants; waste incinerator dust removal; high temperature flue gas dust removal in smelters; flue gas purification in aluminium plants; rotary kiln tail and kiln head dust removal in cement plants; carbon black plant tail gas dust removal, etc. Its application field is characterized by high temperature and large amount of flue gas.
